What kind of environment are you in? Do you have a firewall, and dose this happen with just that specific user account? (have you tried another so we can rule out organizational units)

Large/small scale how many machines are you looking to image? I normally just push the image from a img file I've got on a usb Clonezilla - About is good, and free.

Like many have said I don't suggest forcing a gpupdate on a regular basis as the machines are going to update when they log in or 15-45 minutes depending on what you have it set at. Other than keeping things up to date was there any reason to do this?

Check your login script if the printers address changed the old script may be trying to map the wrong ip. Also make sure there isn't a gpo pushing the printer out. Something on the domain level is pushing it down if it's re-adding to all your workstations just a matter of finding it.

If it's a small company office 365 might be a better option for them. I've ran into this issue before with a company having a staff of 5-6. I know it's not a suggestion directed towards your solution, but food for thought.

The rdp shouldn't make a difference the gpo limiting their access should still apply to them as long as their in the proper organizational units.

It's better to have the firewall handle dhcp if in te event the dc gets compromised you can still kick sessions and isolate it for damage control.

All of these scripts, and extra software isn't needed... Just KISS keep it simple..... pull up command prompt [net session] you can view all current sessions via username there. If you know the location of his connection ip/mac/host name just boot him via dhcp. Disconnect sessions from a given machine NET SESSION \\ComputerName /DELETE

Well it seems every time I do a server migration it's always the folder redirection that makes it take longer than it needs to. I end up having to log into each workstation and transfer over their old profiles, and manually redirect their folders. I assume it's because folder xyz is being redirected, and I want folders wxyz migrated it just never goes smooth.
