Computer parts

Hi All,

 

Our computers are just coming out of thier warranty and I need some new parts for them,

 

Whats the best websites to order parts for computers from?

 

Ive got mainly dells so a dell specific sight would be good!

 

Ive tried googling but not many results!

This will be an entirely opinion based thread.

 

I will start the ball rolling and highly recommend Novatech

 

I'm sure @LpNova_techi will be able to point you in the right direction!

 

All of my personal purchases have been through Novatech and our school has an education account with them, after I recommended them to my line manager we thought we'd give them a go professionally too.

 

Can't fault them.

 

Other websites I would suggest are: Misco and Insight

eBuyer are good for random parts, easy to browse the website if you have a school credit card to put stuff on (you can get an account but apparently it's a PITA). Insight have a pretty massive range of stock in my experience. Novatech are always competitive on pricing, and their account managers are lovely. @CPLTD and @Millgate should be able to source any number of obscure and random parts.

 

That should cover you for most eventualities!

We had no problem getting an account with ebuyer, they emailed a form, finance filled it in and faxed it back and 2 days later we got an email with account details and a £1500 30 days credit account!

 

We don't use novatech often and I've always found them to be friendly, but slow to react to problems, and some of the parts we've had (a warranty replacement PSU, a DVD RW, 4 sticks of memory in the same package) have been DOA.
