Is there any group policy to restrict viewing the wireless key on Windows 7?

It is restricted under our students accounts but our staff accounts have power user privileges(for sims) and it shows the key.

I'd like an easy global policy for restricting viewing the key if possible.

Staff accounts don't have to be power users to use sims.

They dont have any rights like that here either. You should use simsperm to avoid needing this.

I'd like to keep the teachers as power users though. Its worked perfectly in the past for updating sims reliably.

Is there no way to disable the "show key" tick box at all?

What about User Config > Policies > Admin Templates > Network > Network Connections - Prohibit access to properties of a LAN connection - Enabled

This should apply to LAN and WLAN connections.

That's a name they should have thought through better. My mind certainly doesn't read it as Sims Perm. I mean, Sim Ant was a weird enough title, but that really takes the biscuit.

Eep, staff power users, There's your Problem!

Short of disabling all wireless properties you're not going to be able to prevent this without putting them back to standard users so they can't elevate and get a hold of the key.
