Well done, I intend to get crafty soon, I used to sew and cross stitch as a kid, the main kits nowadays are very flowery or girly. (sorry)

my mum used to do loads of xstitch and i used to make patterns for her ages ago (in the 90s) using excel with coloured x's in the boxes as the 'real' x stitch maker software was serious money!

I love this! I, too, enjoy cross-stitch and would love to stitch this. Did you pattern it up yourself or do you have a pattern/colourchart you could point me at? (Although I am certain it wouldn't be too hard to approximate this from a screen grab). I want a Nyan-cat X-stitch in my life <3

Well done Little Miss :)

My Mum taught embroidery for many years, so I'm pretty handy with a needle too.

Making your own patterns is fairly straightforward... I used to photocopy my drawn/traced design onto graph paper... nowadays with scanners and printers, I can print it onto graph paper instead and get the scaling right much quicker :)
