ste1988 Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Hi, Ive just built a machine and for some reason it built with office 2003, so have fully removed it using the mangement console, but when trying to assign office 2007 package, it is declined, has anyone else had this issue, office 2003 is fully removed, after checking the local machine, but im wondering if something has been left behind and is preventing the install of 2007, Any help would be appreciated Regards
CharlieGreen Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Hello, What happens if you try running the installer manually (Log in as SystemAdmin and then run it) Copy it across locally to the HDD as well, Also what OS, XP (SP2 or SP3) or 7 etc.... Thanks
Chris_ Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 What is the reason in the console for the install being declined? It should give you a bit of information?
andyturpie Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 We aren't going to CC4 until summer so thinking along CC3, but is the approved RM package or a homegrown one as creating your own requires a heck of a lot of modifying of the .msi files. Also check that "Main Site" area doesn't contain office 2003 as where ever you build the PC (unless you tell the specific folder not to inhert packages), then it WILL install both versions.
