Sony Vaio laptop replacement drive - where from anybody?

I have some 'management purchased' Sony Vaio PCG FX505 laptops with 1yr RTB warranty :(

Anyone know where I can get replacement HDD's for them?

I'm sure Sony would do it but we all know it'd cost more than a brand new one.

Just go to your fave reseller and buy a 2.5" laptop drive? ;)

If you take the busted drive out first you may even be lucky enough to find the same model.

Shuttup! :p

Took the thing apart - just 2 screws uncovered the drive under the keyboard - 4 screws secured drive - pulled off - re-seated - booted fine. Drive sounded fine - it has dissapeared a couple of times in the past - so there's possibly something dodgy with the connection - or we're extremely lucky and it nnever was correctly seated from scratch. Thanks for the help [well, most ppl ;)]

Just for future reference. The drive is a bog standard 2.5" but screwed into a case with an adaptor. remove the case and you got a standard drive. Put any drive in that case and you will be sorted.
