Video playing upside down

Hi guys,

 

This is now doing my nut in so this is the last resort

 

Various movie file types (mainly VOB files) are playing upside down in any media player.

I know it's a codec issue but I can't seem to find the right one to apply.

 

Any pointers?

I've run the program and, from what I can see, the codecs are installed.

GSpot tells me that a codec dll in our Serif program plays the file but in Media Player, it plays upside down.

I'm now stuck as to how to get that in Windows Media Player. I'll keep playing.

Try uninstalling the codecs then reinstalling.

Just tried uninstalling and reinstalling but with no luck. Trying to understand the GSpot results.

Are you using ffdshow?

 

if so try this go to the Start Menu->ffdshow->Configuration. Select under Miscellaneous in the menu to the left and select Flip video. Hit OK and try play the video.

 

or try unistalling ffdshow then play the video.

Are you using the K-Lite codec pack by any chance? If so, uninstall it and try one of the following...

 

• Vista Codec Pack
  
• LAV DirectShow Filters
  
• CCCP - Combined Community Codec Pack

A valid point but, no, it's not meant to be upside down. If this was the case, you would notice my EduGeek account deleted due to shame.

Does it have to be played in windows media player or could you use a different media player ie VLC / windows media player classic or home cinema ?

I had to ask. I, just this morning, didn't notice the USB cable for a smart board... then proceeded to tell the teacher in the class [class was out] that I needed to get a USB for it...

 

 

Perhaps I should delete my account in shame...
