reggiep Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 We are upgrading and will have 56 give or take a couple asus eee B202 boxes that are currently attached to tft monitors. Would anyone be interested in buying or some of them during the June half term? PM me if you are interested or have a question. Thanks

nadeem Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 I would be interested if buying these at the right price. Feel free to drop me a an email/PM
featured_spectre Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 I would be interested in one only, but if someone wants them all feel free....how much per unit? how much bulk?
newpersn Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 I would be interested in one only, but if someone wants them all feel free....how much per unit? how much bulk? And me please
reggiep Posted March 19, 2012 Author Posted March 19, 2012 Ok, The drive size on them is 160GB. They come with a monitor attached which will be either 17" or 19", mostly 19" though. I'll get exact numbers later. If we said £90 for the eee box, monitor, keyboard and mouse what would the response be? I am looking to sell as many in one go as possible.
FN-GM Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Sorry more questions What colour are they? What monitors please? They would make reasonable Thin Clients. Thanks
reggiep Posted March 19, 2012 Author Posted March 19, 2012 I'll get the details of the monitors and post tomorrow. Ta
featured_spectre Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 I'd just want the box with nothing else if that is possible.
nadeem Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 I'd be interested in buying most of them (after the people who want one or so have them), if maybe we could come to a better price for them all, just need to know, how old are they, and are they still in reasonable condition. Also I'm assuming that you're a school/similar so could invoice me? I have an idea for a "pop-up" (exam) computer suite if I can find a spare room somewhere!!!
nadeem Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 I'll go and see what my Finance Director thinks (and to see if I can "re-allocate" a room for me) p.s. think of the saving on paypal/ebay fees if you don't sell on ebay
Chris_ Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 (edited) Here are a couple of photos of the machines and monitors. To be honest, we're going to cherry pick the best monitors to keep (as you'd expect!), so there's a mix of 17" CTX, HP and 19" Hanns-g monitors, all in working order, but are obviously used. We're quite lucky in that we're an all girls school, so our equipment rarely gets damaged or vandalised and that's reflected in the good condition of the computers and monitors. They're all white, half have been vesa mounted to the backs of the monitors, while the other half have been desk "mounted" on their little stands. They're between 3-4 years old. We're an academy, so I think we could invoice you, yes, Nadeem, but at £90 for a machine with monitor, keyboard and mouse, I doubt we'd be able to negotiate down further on that. The last b202 went on ebay for £97 on its own! Just out of interest, why does this one have an RM OEM COA attached to it? Edited March 21, 2012 by Dos_Box
ben604 Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Just out of interest, why does this one have an RM OEM COA attached to it? My best answer would be - I have no idea! Just checked, that's the only one... must be a kid messing around.
ben604 Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Try again... Here are a couple of photos of the machines and monitors. nadeem Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Is there any chance of getting some of these earlier? I've just discovered I might need to buy some computers relatively soon for our exams, so might have to spend my budget.

I've just discovered I might need to buy some computers relatively soon for our exams, so might have to spend my budget. Hi Nadeem, They're currently powering 2 of our 4 IT suites, so there's no chance of anything earlier than the summer, I'm afraid. Kind Regards, Ben
featured_spectre Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 I'll take one...without the monitor/keyboard/mouse etc...just the physical unit and power cables (and DVI cable if possible). Can you give me a price on that?
DaveCoop Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Hi Ben i might be interested in 26, whats your location? do you use them as thin clients?

Can you give me a price on that? Hello, We're going to see if we can sell them in lots first, collected if possible, to save us having to box them up. I'll let you know when we get closer to the summer.
ben604 Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Hi Ben i might be interested in 26, whats your location? do you use them as thin clients? Hi Dave, We're on the Wirral in the North West. We use them as normal clients at the moment, I'm sure they'll work fine as thin clients though. Let us know. We may have to keep them anyway, at this rate...the amount of red tape we need to get through to order their replacements is taking a bit longer than we anticipated...
Ex-MGSTech Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 We'd be interested in four (want to use as bulletin boards on the back of 42" LCD, but its a bit far to collect? in truth we only really need the boxes not the screens.... Steve
