Cleaning Multiple iPads

What does everyone use to keep their iPads clean? How often are they cleaned?

We have nearly 20 (not deployed yet) which will be used by primary and sen pupils so they will require something antibacterial perhaps.

Anyone have a good system in place or recommended cleaning products?

Microfibre cloth with a supermarket anti-bac spray I would think would work well and be quick and easy to use.

Just a comment on the antibacterial requirement.

I am all for things being cleaned in such a way - generally I think things aren't clean enough, but I assume you don't bother cleaning the keyboards/mice the students use with such a cleaner, so why bother with an iPad? A microfibre cloth would work well.

 

If you want a great glass/plastics cleaner, buy a few cans of Solution 30. It is a bit expensive for what it is, but it is fantastic. I clean my Glasses, Ski Goggles, iPhone/Pad and SLR with it and it really is good stuff.

Cleaning Tip: As always with cleaning screens, try do it when they are cool/cold - especially if using a liquid on it to avoid streak hell!

Thanks for the replies. Have ordered some microfibre cloths. @InterwebsGuy Good point about the antibact. I thought when I was going to have to clean them anyway I might as well use antibact.

I use the bathroom/kitchen/glass wipes you can get from poundland, 60 sheets in a resealable packet for £1.

I give them out when the iPads are borrowed and the teachers get the pupils to clean them when they are finished with them.

 

Works well enough here, and keeps me from having to clean 30 screens scummed up with god-knows what from the kids.

I've always just used anti bac wipes from tesco with a quick polish from a spontex microfibre cloth, also from tesco! I haven't been doing it on ipads, but i have been doing it on pool mobile phones, wireless presenters at conferences (the people presenting get nervous and sweaty), laptops and staff mice/keyboards

I use FOAM CLEANER, 400ML AEROSOL - PPC100 - PRO POWER to clean laptops, monitors, computers, whiteboards etc.. I'm sure it would be fine for iPads as long as you don't go licking them or anything!

Well as I mentioned before, I don't think anything can be too clean. Perhaps a tiny bit of Dettol or similar may work on a Microfibre cloth, though I have no idea what that might do on glass. It would certainly clean and sanitize though!

 

As I mentioned before, I use Solution 30 to clean any plastic/glass device like that. I also have some foam cleaner similar to what @Chris_ mentioned, that stuff is great for cleaning keyboards and mice.
