We recently purchased 4 new networked photocopiers. All Konica Minolta's of different specs but the one that is used most is a KONICA MINOLTA 7145/IP-432 which has been of great use to the teachers as it has duplex and stapling facility so they are making booklets galore.

One of the photocopiers has actually replaced a laser printer in the DT department which I was a bit worried about with the kids using it but it seems to be coping well.

One problem we still have is the printer box on the main copier using a fiery box which only comes with Postscript drivers but the box doesn't have a PS chip in. Printing a test page runs off about 150 pages of machine code and we are still waiting for a new part.

Can't help with the cost part, I think our lease agreement is paid for on a print job basis rather than a page count.

I have Ricoh / Rex Rotary / Nashuatec, Toshiba and Kycoera Mita copiers, and I prefer the Toshibas over all the others. The drivers are better, and the machines themselves are far more robust than the others are. Nice kit, and the company we use are excellent.

We have a SLA with Konica and had a new unit the other month....

KONICA MINOLTA 7272/7255 PS [not sure which one without going to see it - thats the printer driver of course]

Does the job and although some initial problems - their fault not mine - it seems to work ok.

The staff havent been versed in using it tho as a networked photocopier, but its not my prob hehe - I've sorted the setup of the drivers etc. so its up to the management I'd say :D

Cheers
