I'm probably late in becoming aware of this and it's probably already been mentioned on here but CloudOn is now available as a free dowload in the UK from the App Store.

 

Brilliant on my iPad - I can now work with all my Word, PowerPoint and Excel files that are in my DropBox account. Awesome! I don't need a laptop anymore now!

I installed this last night and started to have a play. Works well synced up with dropbox too. I think this will be interesting setup on our iPAD's at school too.

only downside ive found to it is no offline availabillity apart from that it's fantastic

The next version is a full Windows desktop. Rendering on their huge server farm.

 

With a gazillion gigabit connection.

Just downloaded it but when trying to open a file it says 'Cannot establish connection, network might be blocked.'

 

Guessing its just because I'm in school its using an obscure port which isn't open. Does anybody know what it might be using?

Just downloaded it now. Looks great and I can see great potential. I'm having the same problem as tomgrindle though, says cannot establish connection when I try to open up one of the files I've already created. Going to try it from home tonight. It's what I've been looking for for a while, I just need to soft the network issue out.
