johnkay21 Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 Is there away of giving students internal mail ONLY on Exchange Server?????
Gatt Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 yep - an Out-The-Box setup will do this - just don't configure any external email settings like SMTP relaying or routing, etc Our Pupil exchange server is purely internal with no external access and all i did was install it and tweak a few bitts for the school
jet5y Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 If you want BOTH internal and external access, you could probably set the default recipient policy to not have an smtp address and then set up another policy that filters out the staff members and applies an smtp address to them. At a guess anyway.
MK-2 Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 I'm guessing you mean in the way MailDaemon has, with a tickbox for each account saying 'can send external mail' and 'can receive external mail'? We need to set up a mail server that does external for staff and internal only for students, so if there is a definite way I'd be interested too
snrweb Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 Is this any use? http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/MF009.html
adamf Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 Is this any use? http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/MF009.html That is exactly how I have done it and it works well.
Grommit Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 Is this any use? http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/MF009.html Isn't this 5.5?
