Just had a call from sandee?

 

Asian guy saying something about an issue with my windows operating system, as soon as i said i doubt he could help he hung up (was going to finish with 'as i'm running linux')

 

Number was 04259 981533.

We had someone tricked into this at work and went on the link and it loaded aload of stuff off onto it. Police involved the lot - its a scam.

A member of our staff actually fell for this and while he was copying files over she unplugged her cable.... you wouldnt think anyone would fall for it but they do.

My grandma has had lots of phone calls for these.

Luckily she is smart enough to not fall for it.

The problem is it's aimed at the percentage of people whose knowledge extends to switching on and off, using Word and IE - I've had this call on four occasions now over the past 2-3 years, and when I start ranting at them they kill the call...I've warned just about everyone I can think of, but there's no doubt they will put fear into some people who will only be too happy to let those nice people from MS 'fix' their computer.

 

I know what I'd like to do to them...
