Exchange 2007 costs?

We may update our Exchange box this summer and I was wondering if anyone had got any prices for the licence and cals?

 

I'll have to weigh up the cost to upgrade against just installing our current Exchange 2003 server on ne hardware which i dont really want to do.

I'm in exactly the same boat so would appreciate this info as well. We have MS Schools Agreement and Ramesys tell us that the CALs are included in our package but I'd like further proof since it doesn't specifically list in on our agreement info.

A schools agreement subscriber has core CALs as part of the deal.

Remember that Exchange 2007 requires Windows 2003 64bit, which requires 64 bit hardware (obviously!), so those are costs you need to consider if you are not already running on that setup.

 

Last quotation I had for just Exchange 2007 was 2 weeks ago and worked out at £70 for Exchange 2007, and £1.70 for a CAL.

Also were they Core Exchange Cals or Enterprise Exchange Cals as you have 2 types with 2007, if all you want is 2007 but with practically none of the 2007 new features such as Spam, OVA, etc then you can go for Core cals as they are basically the 2003 upgraded ones, but if you want any of the nice new Exchange 2007 feautures then you need the new Enterprise CALS which cost more.
