Problem with adobe pdf maker cs3

Hi,

 

one of our exam boards have requested that all coursework for our gcse media course be submitted as a merged pdf document, the problem is that if you try to add anything that has been breathed on by office 2010 it fails telling us that bits are missing and would we like to run a repair.

 

the repair does not work! We have a workaround in as much as printing the documents to pdf within office works, merging multiple pdfs also works so we can achieve the same end, but it is a round the houses method that is fraught with pitfalls for the kids.

 

has anyone else had this problem and has anyone fixed it?

Another option is to see whether there any software updates for CS3.

Another not-an-answer-but-have-thought-of-this-brilliant-workaround post. Would it not be easier to collect the coursework as Word documents, merge in Word 2010 and then export the result to PDF?
