CAM Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Does anyone else do this? I recently went for the first time in years since I gave it up as a student and had a great time.
featured_spectre Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Been a while since I done it, infact I sold all my airsoft guns a while back, wish I didnt as some of my mates are starting to get into it!
MYK-IT Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Never tried it, though I would love to. Just have to settle with my NERF Maverick (awaiting modifcations )
korifugi Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 I haven't been for a while - but I do have quite a sizeable armoury and am looking to get back into the firefight once time allows... Anyone else from the midlands???
notalot Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 Same, got some stuff but havent been for a while, also looking to get back in to it.
CAM Posted December 13, 2011 Author Posted December 13, 2011 I have all the kit but no guns! Stupid VCRA.
korifugi Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 To be honest - I kinda agree with the VCRA, in so far as it make it harder for oiks to get a hold of replica kit, sadly it does mean that us airsofters have to prove what we are to be able to buy gats. All too many times I see stalls selling gats though - usually with a small number of teenage lads around them attempting to look 'ard . Thing is - you know they're selling them illegally and reporting them seems to go nowhere (note: I don't want to turn this into a police bashing thread - they do a great many things that I could never do, and they're too constrained by having to meet targets to have the time to easily deal with 'small' matters like this).
korifugi Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 I've been part of a little bit of fun we had with paintballers, we borrowed paintball kit and went against them for a couple of games (in most cases without armour).... Then we switched it around and they borrowed some gats and went against us. Guess who screamed more

Guess who screamed more I'll be honest, I've never played airsoft, but the idea of running round with armor on defeats the point for me!
CHR1S Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Then we switched it around and they borrowed some gats and went against us. Guess who screamed more Gat - as in the small air guns that fire darts and .177 pellets?
korifugi Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 For clarification - It was the paintballers we went up against that wear the armour. and sorry, I'm just so used to using gat as a catch-all term to define aegs and air weapons. 1
CAM Posted December 14, 2011 Author Posted December 14, 2011 Two layers of clothes, full face mask and a tac vest do me. You feel the BB's through that, still have a red mark on my leg from Saturday. I wouldn't wear just shooting glasses though if you want to keep your teeth...
EduTech Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 @Geoff plays AirSoft, I went along a few months ago a couple of times to try it out and had a great time. It was up north so was quite a treck for me every sunday :-( .. might look at doing it again next year James.
korifugi Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 I wouldn't wear just shooting glasses though if you want to keep your teeth... Erm... I'm guilty of this, just one layer of clothing, tac vest and ballistic glasses Can't remember the number of times I've spat a bb out - and yes, I do generally keep my mouth closed. And remember: when we have struck Mr. Grenade - he is not our friend. (I've seen a lad have one accidentally strike in his pocket - I have never before seen someone remove their trousers so quickly!) 1

Theblacksheep Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Paintball is for sales reps. Airsoft FTW! 1

korifugi Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Hmmm, could this be the starting of an airsoft EduClan???
GREED Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Something I would love to get into. One of my ex apprentices was into this big time.
Sephiroth Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 I used to go regularly but haven't done for a while. Would love to get back into it though, I kept all my kit as it's just too much fun to give up
