Does anyone else do this? I recently went for the first time in years since I gave it up as a student and had a great time.

I haven't been for a while - but I do have quite a sizeable armoury and am looking to get back into the firefight once time allows...

Anyone else from the midlands???

To be honest - I kinda agree with the VCRA, in so far as it make it harder for oiks to get a hold of replica kit, sadly it does mean that us airsofters have to prove what we are to be able to buy gats.

All too many times I see stalls selling gats though - usually with a small number of teenage lads around them attempting to look 'ard :p. Thing is - you know they're selling them illegally and reporting them seems to go nowhere (note: I don't want to turn this into a police bashing thread - they do a great many things that I could never do, and they're too constrained by having to meet targets to have the time to easily deal with 'small' matters like this).

I've been part of a little bit of fun we had with paintballers, we borrowed paintball kit and went against them for a couple of games (in most cases without armour)....

Then we switched it around and they borrowed some gats and went against us.

Guess who screamed more :evil_twisted:

I'll be honest, I've never played airsoft, but the idea of running round with armor on defeats the point for me!

Gat - as in the small air guns that fire darts and .177 pellets?

For clarification - It was the paintballers we went up against that wear the armour.

and sorry, I'm just so used to using gat as a catch-all term to define aegs and air weapons.

Two layers of clothes, full face mask and a tac vest do me. You feel the BB's through that, still have a red mark on my leg from Saturday. :D

I wouldn't wear just shooting glasses though if you want to keep your teeth...

@Geoff plays AirSoft, I went along a few months ago a couple of times to try it out and had a great time. It was up north so was quite a treck for me every sunday :-( .. might look at doing it again next year :D

Erm... I'm guilty of this, just one layer of clothing, tac vest and ballistic glasses :o

Can't remember the number of times I've spat a bb out - and yes, I do generally keep my mouth closed.

And remember: when we have struck Mr. Grenade - he is not our friend. (I've seen a lad have one accidentally strike in his pocket - I have never before seen someone remove their trousers so quickly!)
