It's that time of year again. Reception classes across the country performing the Nativity.

I just love it. This year baby Jesus has concussion after being dumped in the crib and smacking his head on the side. Last year Mary dangled him by the ankle as she carried him across the stage; I'm not sure which is worse! :D

It feels like Christmas has started (even if the inspectors are in today!) :)

I was in a classroom of five/six year olds last year and the teacher was doing the nativity story on the interactive whiteboard. She clicked a button and three chaps appeared on the screen, riding their camels and wearing head scarfs and long robes. The teacher asked "Who are these people?" and a child said "Is it the Hindu's?".

They stopped them a few years ago in my former primary school at the risk of upsetting the ethnic minority. Its a shame really. I doubt they would take offense anyway.

We're doing Prickly Hay this year by our reception classes, year 1 and year 2's. Proud daddy moment when my boy in year 2 has the lead role and knows his words off by heart :) Great having my kids at my school! :)

Did the Inspectors have any comments on a Safety angle related to Baby Jesus having concussion seen as they look at how safe people are in the schools :D

I was directing a play and I thought I'd spice it up a bit by adding a lesbian shower scene.

Some say I'm the fresh and bold thing theatre needs, others that I ruined the nativity...
