New house - New broadband deals

Hi all. We are (well me and my other half) are moving house in the next few weeks to a brand new housing estate.

 

We cant get cable (virgin media).

 

Whats the best sort of deal can we get.

All depends on your location (both in the country and to the telephone exchange).

been with sky for a while now and cant fault them to be fair, had a nightmare with virgin, like the idea of bt infinity though!

We were originally with Supanet (Read up about them..my god) and they were awful to put it nicely. Now with Sky and wireless hasn't dropped out once in 4 months now, it used to drop out every 4 hours with supanet.

Orange have been very good, very cheap if you have a mobile with them. I was on O2, who were pretty good as well, but I do get faster connection with Orange.

Sky Broadband is provided by Easynet in a similar way to how O2 works with Be

PlusNet are good on customer service - Today, I phoned to arrange a connection to a brand new house.. the person I spoke to was pleasant, knowledgable about their product and only relieved me of £50 for the new line which has to be pulled-in from the main road 30 mtrs away.. I didn't want to get tied into an 18 month contract - so I am on a 30 day rolling contract for phone and broadband and can cancel at any time..

 

I had spoken to BT before calling PlusNet.. Clowns! - I couldn't get them to understand what I wanted and they didn't want to tell me the costs involved..

Recently joined plusnet after a NIGHTMARE 5 months with Sky, BT and talk talk all being completely incapable of simply reconnecting the phone line, phoned plus net had it (and broadband) up and running in two weeks no bother also reconnecion was £70 cheaper than the others PLUS there was about £35 cashback on quidco, jobs a good un.
