Rawns Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 Yet again, steam seem to be having a big Autumn sale! So far, I've restrained myself to just the Serious Sam HD pack (SS1, SS2, SS1HD, SS2 HD) for a stonking £2.99 Shame my Separate hard disk for Steam is almost full!
jedmondson Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 i just might have to get that. Don't know whether or not to say thanks for pointing it out.
MK-2 Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 you need to ban yourself from steam @Rawns this is getting ridiculous
Rawns Posted November 28, 2011 Author Posted November 28, 2011 Hi, I'm Paul R and I'm a Steam-a-holic.
MK-2 Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 I only decided not to as I still have a load of games on there I haven't played, inc. arkham city which i got free with my gfx card....plus a bit of a playabout on DC universe online now its free to play, but nothing serious

What sort of gamer are you? Hell... I still haven't finished the original Ocarina of Time. It's on my to-do list.

At the moment I'm juggling Battlefield 3, Skyrim, Serious Sam 1/2 HD and I also want to get the new Serious Sam and Arkham City! [NOTE TO SANTA]Dear Santa, for Christmas I would like a new 2Tb hard drive for Steam. Hugs, Rawns.[/NOTE TO SANTA] Edited November 28, 2011 by Rawns
X-13 Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 At the moment I'm juggling Battlefield 3, Skyrim, Serious Sam 1/2 HD and I also want to get the new Serious Sam and Arkham City! Oot:3d, Dragon Age: Origins, Arkham City... You know what, it'd be easier to just list all of the games I own.

At the moment I'm juggling Battlefield 3, Skyrim, Serious Sam 1/2 HD and I also want to get the new Serious Sam and Arkham City! arkham city does look good, but i'm just struggling to feel connected to it, although i have only played about 10 mins of it. it's also the first game to actually stutter in places with settings on max!

sonofsanta Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 This one has not been as bad as many others - think I've mostly gotten indie games, Tiny Bang Story (x2, for the wife as well), the 3D music shootery one, Limbo, the two Serious Sam HD's at £2.19 (they must have changed that deal halfway) and the only big name game I got was Fallout3:NV. So really, I'm doing bloody well for a Steam Sale. Some of the discounts have not been as deep as previous though - e.g. Civ V was 66% off, and has been 75% on a weekend deal in the past. Still, this is only a warm up for the holiday sale Got some 96 games on my Steam library now, and probably only finished/significantly played a dozen of them. I'm only 45 hours into Fallout 3 right now as well so still got as many hours again before I finish that one...
localzuk Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 I'm waiting for the angry letter from Virgin saying 'what on earth are you downloading!?'. Used 30GB Data in 4 days...

The way this gets posted on the iSpy, made me think you'd bought LA Noire for £3. I would have been so annoyed if I'd missed that!! lol

localzuk Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Trust me, you wouldn't, it's £3 well saved :/ Oh? It looked so good though!
X-13 Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Oh? It looked so good though! Looks can be decieving.
MK-2 Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Oh? It looked so good though! It looks fantastic. It plays like a rubbish version of CSI. Walk around crime scene looking for clues Follow up clues with someone, asking questions to gain right answers Go to interview someone else and either chase in car or on foot for 5 mins before catching them Haul them in for questioning and interview them in same manner as others That is it for 90% of the game. All cases are like that, murder, arson, drugs, the lot. They touted a lot on "look how detailed the faces are" which I can't disagree, but to say you can tell if someone is lying by their faces means "watch their face, if they look to one direction they are lying, if they dont its the truth". It seemed more a gimmick. Try it, you may like it, but I found myself bored of doing the same thing again and again with no real change....often searching around a crime scene for an hour because one tiny speck of a clue was impossible to see until you stood right over it
