Playing 64 man conquest on Metro. Must have died a minimum of 30 times, however thanks to the awesome squad I was in, the medics were raping revival points off me and I finished with about 30 kills, 2 deaths, plus 13 resupply ribbons! :)

Well I have maxed out my first weapon :) (Scar H)...170 kills into the 870MCS Shotgun, and 100 Kills into the knife...going to max everything out first before I use 1 weapon per class, that way I know what each weapon feels like!

I'm making plenty of progress with the AKS-74u and proper kitted it out. Zoom scope and Red Dot, I kinda question it's usefulness on single shot over distance though. Oh and yes, I am a dreaded noob SMAW whore. :target:

Had a few epic moments already with a group of friends and Skype. We co-ordinated dominance of the air with me 2 jets and an attack heli. Not that the enemy air force was up to scratch. One jet flew vertical, stalled, pilot bailed and as the jet plummeted back to earth his wing man flew straight into the stricken plane and both exploded! The whole squad was in stitches as we watched from our aircraft.

Another funny moment was daring a squad member to fly the transport heli through a tunnel. He made it half way with perfect flying before an AT Mine of all things took him out. :D

What's your tip for the jets? I find they take ages to turn and I cannot get enough downward angle to shoot things without crashing.

Bought BF3 at the weekend. All my epic moments so far involve dying - usually how quickly can I die after spawning.

if infrantry keep in close quarters I find starting with shotgun helps and avoid running over large open spaces unless have tank backup, also help suppl others while getting better :)

Oh god I feel your pain! Whenever i'm lucky enough to actually get into a jet.. I last about 2 minutes just flying around avoiding mountains etc and then eventually either get shot down or eject > die. Not even tried choppers yet as they seem to be more popular with other people using the kamikaze technique to fly into tanks..

Although I play BF3 on the PC, I use an Xbox 360 controller to fly with. The first time I got in the jt, I had no clue which button was which. Afterburned as high as I could and then accidently bailed out. :o

Lol, that's usually the kind of thing I end up doing.

it was made worse by the fact I was out of bounds so died within 10 seconds. :(

One time I bailed out of my jet as it was going down. Somehow I bailed out in front of it and it killed me as it was falling.:(

What do the pilots of jets/choppers here use for controls? Xbox controller, keyboard? I don't have an xbox so i'm hoping someone will come up with some hotkeys that will make flying that litle bit easier.. :)

Tips for jets and choppers....legacy controls!!!

As for the angles of turning, if you think its not enough it didn't recognize the input correctly so do it again quickly and it will be fine. I'm not far from guided missiles now which means if people use the soflam on vehicles (any type) I can wipe them out

Legacy controls means

Up=up, down=down. Makes flying much much easier

Is there an option to enable legacy controls, or do I have to set each command individually? *sigh* :p

Just a thought.. do PS3 controllers work when plugged in via USB? Would seem easier when flying jets. :D

Unsure, however my Xbox 360 controller is a "designed for Windows" one, not one straight from an Xbox 360. ;)

Imagine that set you back just a little? ;)

Actually, I think it was deal of the day on Play.com so got it for a tenner/fifteen quid? I liked to play Fifa, NHL & Dirt on my PC, and a mouse & keyboard does not suit driving/sport games.

Will give controller a try. Already doing the uninverted axis with the mouse.

And the wired XBox controllers are well worth it for a PC. They should all work with one, plenty of cable and work with a power pack. Shame the keyboard attachment doesn't work with the PC.

I just use the arrow keys now, A and D for left and right, and the arrow keys for pitch and yaw, spacebar to fire.

It's just too twitchy with a mouse, but my mouse is very high DPI so that might be why.
