[sims] Unable to run streamed version of SIMS

I have streamed the latest version of SIMS .NET, which needs .net framework 4 client profile and extended to be installed. When I run the application, i get the attached error message.

 

Unable to run SIMS. Contact your helpdesk with the following information.

You need the following software to run this application.

Name: Microsoft .NET Framework

Version 4.0.30319 or later.

 

However the computer I am currently trying to test this on has SIMS and .net 4 installed locally, which will run without any issue. Does anyone know how I can resolve this??

 

Any help would be hugely appreciated.

which version of .net SIMS must have the extended version

Sorry - clarification needed. Do you;

 

1) have two different instances of SIMS .net installed on one machine, one connects to a server and gives the error, and one uses a database locally on the machine and that works fine?

 

2) have one instance of SIMS .net installed on a computer and a connect.ini which lets you choose which database you want to use, the one on the server generates the error and the local one doesn't?

We have 1 instance of SIMS installed on a server. We are trying to stream the front end client using xenapp streaming profiler. As a test, we installed the SIMS client on a workstation, and this works fine, indicating that we have the right version of .net etc. When we run the streamed version, it doesn't run and we get the error I listed in the first post.

Did you install .net in your profile?

We have profiled it several times, sometimes including .net4. Most of the time when you try to put .net4 in a profile, it fails to install with a windows installer 1603 error. The title window for the error says Citrix Offline Plugin Error, making me think this is a xenapp issue, rather that a problem with the profile
