  1. Hi, We are having some problems with users being disconnected from their sessions on our Wyse Xeniths. We believe this is because the time on the wyse is at GMT (Morovia), where the is no Daylight Savings Time, insetead of GMT (London). We have tried putting this is the xen.ini file for the terminals, however it does not seem to take any effect. Currently we have the following line in the ini file; TimeZone="GMT" Does anyone know how to put this to GMT London?? Thanks, Chris
  2. Hi, We have recently had a NAP server set up on our network, only for our wireless, and using our cisco access points. We have set this up with WPA2 and PEAP. However we now 2 issues. 1 - Wireless laptops are taking a long time to connect to the wifi at bootup, prolonging the log on process even more. 2 - Some laptops that have been NAP compliant occasionally get put on the 'naughty' vlan, and in the NAP server event logs show as being 'non nap cabable'. This happens occasionally on XP laptops, but happens quite often on the few W7 laptops we have. When this happens on a W7 laptop, we get a message saying SHA not present. I have managed to resolve this by stopping the napagent service, and running the script attached below, however this is not a permanent fix. For the moment, we have not put health validators in the policy like anti-virus or windows updates. Has anyone encountered these issues before and resolved them?? Thanks w7 fix wifi.txt
  3. We have profiled it several times, sometimes including .net4. Most of the time when you try to put .net4 in a profile, it fails to install with a windows installer 1603 error. The title window for the error says Citrix Offline Plugin Error, making me think this is a xenapp issue, rather that a problem with the profile
  4. We have 1 instance of SIMS installed on a server. We are trying to stream the front end client using xenapp streaming profiler. As a test, we installed the SIMS client on a workstation, and this works fine, indicating that we have the right version of .net etc. When we run the streamed version, it doesn't run and we get the error I listed in the first post.
  5. I have streamed the latest version of SIMS .NET, which needs .net framework 4 client profile and extended to be installed. When I run the application, i get the attached error message. Unable to run SIMS. Contact your helpdesk with the following information. You need the following software to run this application. Name: Microsoft .NET Framework Version 4.0.30319 or later. However the computer I am currently trying to test this on has SIMS and .net 4 installed locally, which will run without any issue. Does anyone know how I can resolve this?? Any help would be hugely appreciated.
  6. We have set up a cluster file server on 2 blades running Server 2008 R2 Enterprise. I can access the file shares on the cluster using the cluster name, eg \\clustername\share, but I am unable to access them via the cluster's IP address, eg \\x.x.x.x\share. Does anyone know how to resolve this?? Any help would be much appreciated.
  7. Hello, We keep getting the following error message on a few users in our domain. Windows cannot copy file \\prometheus\profiles\xpmandatory\Application Data\Citrix\RadeCache\a764a94d-7ae2-4d7b-86c5-a7633fc8285a\Device\C\WINDOWS\system32\wbem\Logs\ to location C:\Documents and Settings\mlingard\Application Data\Citrix\RadeCache\a764a94d-7ae2-4d7b-86c5-a7633fc8285a\Device\C\WINDOWS\system32\wbem\Logs\. Possible causes of this error include network problems or insufficient security rights. If this problem persists, contact your network administrator. We are using mandatory profiles for everyone, with Appsense to provide user personalization. When this error occurs, the only way we have found to resolve it is to delete the users profile off that computer, and then they can log on again fine. However as soon as they log off they are back to step 1. Has anyone else had this issue and found how to resolve it?? Any help would be very much appreciated. Chris
  8. Personally I wouldn't go for a laptop for gaming, a desktop will generally work much better. I would recommend looking at desktops from Cyberpower Systems, I bought a very nice gaming desktop from them last year, and other that a dodgy fan I have had no problems with it. If you really want a laptop, they will do custom ones as well.
  9. I have just tried re-profiling it again. During the profiling process, you get an opportunity to run the app to test it works. At this point, it works fine. After profiling it, and setting up an application on the xenapp server, I went back to the profiling machine, and it would not run it, it came up with the same error message. It looks like it is unable to detect that .net 4 is installed on the client machine.
  10. Hi there, We are currently trying to stream Schoolcomms using xenapp 6. Everytime we try to launch it, we get a message stating we need .Net framework 4.0.30319 or later. I have downloaded and installed .net 4 manually, rather that using Windows Updates, and yet I still get this error. Has anyone has this problem and been able to resolve it?? Thanks
  11. We have a Dell Blade 1955 where the Broadcom dual nic will not communicate with the network. On 2 occasions after running the server for an extended period (several days), the nic has started working. We are using the Broadcom nic software to team the cards together. I have tried running a linux live cd on this server, and the network card starts working instantly. I have also tried running a crossover cable directly from the server to a laptop and tried pinging each other to no avail. We have also tested the network cables that run from the server to the switch with a laptop and these work fine. I have tried running the cards independently of each other, without the teaming software with no success. We have several pieces of software on this server that would be extremely hard to replicate elsewhere so would prefer not to reinstall this server from scratch. Does anyone have any ideas how to solve this problem??
