Hi Edugeekers,

I have a very intermittant problem here which I can't replicate.

To forcefully connect laptops to wireless, I use a GPO that requires the laptops to connect to 'My School Here' using WPA2-Personal. I enter the password on the client after imaging, pop it on a trolley and away it goes.

Once every couple of days or so a laptop decides to forget the WPA2 password, and users cannot log on.

Students can't get to the network settings to change this (they are not accessible through control panel and the Notification icon for networks has been removed), so I'm wondering if anyone else has seen this behaviour or has any suggestions?

I've got GPO's to refresh every 90mins and the forgetful machines are trying to connect to the correct network, they just no longer have the WPA2-Personal password, which I can't define in the GPO, unless I am about to be corrected!.

I'm thinking about setting up Radius and trying it without the password? would that make a difference here?

It would make a difference yes as Radius can take its authentication via AD.

You could always write up a script that runs on the laptops to say something to the effect of "On exit rejoin wireless with WPA-2 key xxxxxxxx" (not sure of the exact code but you get the idea)
