OK - switched from HTC Desire to Galaxy S2 - sad to leave the Desire behind as its been good to me but time to move on.

Got confused by my sdcard being mounted as /sdcard/sdcard but then read that Mr Samsung had kindly given me 11GB internally so very happy with that :)

Very nice to look at (I got the girly white one)

I've added my gmail account and downloaded UNPNP and Rockplayer so all set to watch Series 4 of Big Bang Theory in bed tonight.

But plugged it into my XP PC and the PC wanted something called CDC Serial driver - downloaded Kies (whatever that is) which then seemed to install about 1TB of guff - do I need this or can I remove it?

Kies IS awful!

I've had my Galaxy S since May and it had connected ONCE! Yes, ONCE!

Truly shocking waste of space.

However, my Sis has had the S2 since July and loves it.....Enjoy the new phone, Si!

You dont need Kies on your computer. The S2 has an app called Kies Air. If you want to sync, you can run that, and sync via your computers internet browser.

Or download Sandisk Memory Zone, and sync to an online (cloud) storage provider.
