We are in the process of upgrading the school’s

networks and infrastructure, with some exciting

development projects planned such as VLE, MIS

and print management. The successful person

must ensure the day-to-day ICT requirements and

support are managed effectively and be able to drive

forward future projects.

Effective communication is essential as is the ability to

manage a small team, third party support providers

and to liaise with staff and pupils.

You must be fully conversant with future technology

and understand how technology links together in a

school environment.

AHHHHH... Again a good paying job outside my area of travel

A quick bit of info for any who are applying. 6 months ago I saw senior tech position advertised for this place.

 

Job could already be taken or senior tech could be going for it.

There have been some odd things going on there in the last couple of years - I went for a job as helpdesk support and it turned out that the Network manager was going to be teaching all the IT as the IT teacher had resigned at short notice. Said network manager was in our local NM group but disappeared soon after. Since then the whole place seems to be in a state of flux - there isn't much tech there anyway - or there wasnt - so just a heads up to anyone going for it to really ask some probing questions!!
