School logo refresh

Hi there,

 

Any chance someone could clean this up a bit. Possibly bring it into this century with a bit of reflection on it? A couple of ideas would be fantastic. Thanks in advance.

Do you know what font that was? Might help to tidy up the roughness of the text

No idea, this logo is ancient and was probably scanned in at some point!

@Jonathon28 I live around the corner from your school, If i get some time later I'll give it a go, what are your primary school colours?

Keeping it simple I've just got rid of the jaggedness a bit

 

 

Not too good at the actual design changes but have added a slight bevel to it above or with a drop shadow?

 

 

edit: I've used Times New Roman for the font as it seems to be true to original

Could i be really cheeky and ask for a wallpaper for our machines? looking for 'Queensbury Special School' 'www.queensburysch.com' and possibly healthy school logo, investor in people, positive about disabled people logos at the bottom. all of right hand side away from icons?

 

I play with photoshop but i'm not very good at all. Still learning!

wall papering machine is easy, I'll use Matt's logo and send you the code, just PM to remind me i dont think i'll have time today to do it

As far as wallpaper goes I always pick a pretty image from google and superimpose a standard logo and info on to that. Changed every month and really easy to do. I'll play about with my template for it and send it over so you can see what you think.

I've sort of come up with the folowing. If you add a picture of your choosing to the background layer you can then export it as a jpg for use as desktop wallpaper
