elsiegee40 Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Also get early access to all facebook "updates" as and when they are released to the company. Its the employees who basically say yay or ney to updates as well. You could be a very unpopular man... Responsible for those dreadful adverts AND admitting to having approved changes! Still I might forgive you in exchange for inside info on privacy changes!
featured_spectre Posted October 14, 2011 Author Posted October 14, 2011 its literally a vote, no one person has the final yes or no, if its 50/50 it goes to a coin flip (as per my understanding), so i could well vote no and it still go ahead...as for privacy yes I would be willing to post up security details (if I got the say so)
speckytecky Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Hope you get it mate. Well done for your progress so far. We are all rooting for you.

ihaveaproblem Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 Sorry, deliberately going to keep you all in suspense.... Needless to say it was a fun challenge this morning look foward to hearing the verdict Hope it's good news. Sounds like it was a brilliant experience either way.
featured_spectre Posted October 17, 2011 Author Posted October 17, 2011 well todays task was pick out the most clicked on ad, then sorting by area, then sorting by county, then by town and then postcode and target similar ads for those postcodes (EG NW1, NW2, NW3) and do so within a certain time frame. If you live in those 3 post codes you may have seen ads that I targeted to you today
mac_shinobi Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 Haven't had a chance to do much of anything but either way good luck , think you deserve a break after your previous job and said issues related to previous job. Say no more
featured_spectre Posted October 18, 2011 Author Posted October 18, 2011 Had an email from Mark Zuckerberg himself today, stating "Congratulations Carl for getting to the final phase of the applicant testing. 1 in 40000 people that apply get that far so feel proud of yourself even if you do not get the job. I wish you the best of luck and believe the London office choice will be made to the best of their ability. We also know what is happening at your former work and if you get the job with us, I am happy to give you full support from the company lawyers. All the best for the job hunt and the future. Mark" Pretty stunned at that!
witch Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Had an email from Mark Zuckerberg himself today, stating Pretty stunned at that! But how do they know? Have they asked for a reference already?
featured_spectre Posted October 18, 2011 Author Posted October 18, 2011 I mentioned it in the interview on Monday that I'll be appealing the decision etc
Jose Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 I mentioned it in the interview on Monday that I'll be appealing the decision etc Mate, do yourself a favour, get a reference from your current temp job even if its from Will, plus one other from a different employer. I hope you get it but be a bit more economical with the truth sometimes.
featured_spectre Posted October 19, 2011 Author Posted October 19, 2011 well if @Will_Townsend is willing then yeah I will from now on - I did afterall show him the best kebab house in the north london area (and I have been to loads in my time!)
penfold Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Had an email from Mark Zuckerberg himself today, stating Pretty stunned at that! How good would that be? New job and the force of facebook taking on your old school. The head might think twice about doing that again Serisouly though, hope it all works out for you. When will you find out?

featured_spectre Posted October 21, 2011 Author Posted October 21, 2011 I didnt get it btw They thanked me for my progress and wish me the best but they feel the other guy was more suited, however they are impressed by my CV and will look to fit me in elsewhere as I appear to be a good fit for the company.
elsiegee40 Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Oh, that's such a shame I hope they do really find something for you.
