Laserjet 2100 regulalry prints demo page before document.

We have a laserjet 2100 that has aparently* started randomly printing the demo page in front of documents, i can't find a reason for this in the driver, or the jetdirect config. Any ideas?

 

*aparently, because the user who has reported it is well known for swearing that black is white when it comes to problems that may be of her own making... i wonder if she has been shoving the demo button, or puting something down on it!

not the same problem but just as funny, I hada teacher come to me with a half inch wad of print out from our laser printer, she said these have just been coming out of the machine for a while.

 

it was the Jetdirect adapter pressing up against the conduit pressing the "print config page" button

As far as I recall the 2100 only has two buttons, cancel and go/online. If you press the big round one of the two a couple of times I am pretty sure that it spits out one of these pages. It could be that the printer is being put offline or the user is getting impatient leading to a mashing of the button and the demo print.
