This is driving me crazy!

Some but not all of our latest computers and laptops are displaying the really annoying 'a program on your computer has corrupted the default search provider it's been reset to Bing' or words to that effect.

I've exported reg files for search scopes both in Current user and local user from machines that don't have the problem, this has worked in the past but not this time.

I have GPOs set for don't display search bar and prevent users from changing search providers, I've enabled and disabled these to no avail. Anyone got a solution to this?

Mandatory or roaming profiles?

Delete the locally cached copy of a users profile on a workstation you've this happen, then get the user to log back on again and try it once more.

Local profiles. It displays the message for all new users but not the next time they login. Its one of those problems that whilst it's not that vital I've spent all day fiddling around with it!

I like Bing :) its the default on our student internal homepage and the staff default will be switching in a few weeks.

Either way maybe its Microsoft’s AV getting in the way again like it did with Chrome...............

PS not a real suggestion of something to look into.
