Why is it my kids have the latest in gaming consoles - Wii, PS3 & Xbox but he spends most of his time playing games from about 20 years ago.....?

Sonic, Double Dragon, Streets Of Rage, Golden Axe etc etc

I do this because of nostalgia...I grew up with those games :-)

because if you take away the fancy graphics new games are rubbish.

Who can forget Commodore 64 with Bruce Lee, Karate Champion and Daley Thompsons Decathlon plus Waiting 25mins for game to load while listening to US anthem.

Daley Thompsons decathlon can certainly rival any of the Wii fit games for sheer enjoyment, player involvement and sweaty palms.

nail on head. I have an Xbox and PS3, but the Xbox only gets played for CoD, the PS3 is my bluray player and most of my gaming is done on my selection of retro consoles - can't beat the old games for sheer playability and fun!
