featured_spectre Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 £29.99 for PC on Amazon £37.99 for Xbox £37.99 for PS3 This is cheaper if you sign up to love film with the amazon code and get the £15 voucher which is sent out with the first rental
Rawns Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 The beauty of getting on the beta was that it allowed you to get a good idea of how your PC would handle it without having to actually buy the game. I learnt that my expectations for my rig were too high.
JoeBloggs Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 My PC is only 1 year old so will be able to cope Cheers Neph - saw it for £32 on Play.com
ihaveaproblem Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 what you all think so far? I like it but keep falling through the ground on some maps. I feel the sniper rifles are bit under powerd as well. I've only played as recon so far. I think shot to the chest or head should be 1 hit kill. At the moment it seems 2 or 3 shots to the chest = kill.
featured_spectre Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 SVD is underpowered for sure....love the engineering class more than anything else tbh, not sure why, just seems to fit my style better
ihaveaproblem Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 I think the semi auto rifles are better, but still under powered. The bolt action rifles are frustrating ( Even though it's what I use ) If you don't hit the enemy's head it's game over. Either the enemy has killed you whilst you reload, the enemy has ran away or taken cover. Hitting the head isn't always as easy as said... especially from distance. Then on top of that the rifles have a light house on the scope to broadcast to everyone where you are. I really think they've made it difficult and a bit unfair for snipers. Hope they alter the rifles or the last bolt action rifle is good.. On another note. Can anyone else not map actions to their mouse buttons?
irsprint84 Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 SVD with 12x scope I get 1 shots kills easy, its all about where you hide
ihaveaproblem Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 SVD with 12x scope I get 1 shots kills easy, its all about where you hide Guess I just suck^^ I do like that mov thing and flying into people lol
SC92 Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 On another note. Can anyone else not map actions to their mouse buttons? Found this really frustrating. In the BETA I set 'Q' as the steady scope option whilst sniping and it was so simple for me. Can't set Q as this now though as apparently i've been told by a few people that you can't unbind the Spot/command options from Q.
irsprint84 Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 I have spot as F12 and works Also with sniper if the target is 100 to 250m away you need to aim just above the head because the bullets arc
featured_spectre Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 Hell the gravity arc is very differ to bad company 2...whole new set of physics to adjust to!
ihaveaproblem Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 What sort of performance you all getting? I seem to run between 40 - 60 fps with a amd 6950 and the following settings. Also, Is there an easy way to know how much the bullet is going to drop? I struggle to know the distance from me to the enemy and a lot of the time I shot to far above the head and miss
featured_spectre Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 Every 100m or so the bullet / tank shells drops half a millidot (on the crosshairs) hope that helps
ihaveaproblem Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 Every 100m or so the bullet / tank shells drops half a millidot (on the crosshairs) hope that helps thanks. getting a bit better. I've just unlocked the 2nd bolt action rifle and it seems more accurate than the first.
SC92 Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Forgot to let everyone know I joined Edugeek platoon under the name 'lYSDEXlC'. Those are L's and not I's. Also the bullets dropping at a distance is great - I love it. It's a little different to BF2 but who cares it's all about learning and playing the new Frostbite Game Engine.
Rawns Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Anyone managed to play this on "Ultra" on the PC?
featured_spectre Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 My stepdad did this weekend on his beast of a machine, and it looks absolutely fantastic!
rush_tech Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Anyone managed to play this on "Ultra" on the PC? I can but that because I've just upgraded my rig get about 45-55 fps
nikaso Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 So I was taking a break after a string of BF3 matches and started looking at some stats of platoon members, what caught my eye was the 'Quits' stat, I could only be bothered looking at the stats of the fans of the platoon but is seems ArcathWhitefall is the ragequitting king, he/she quits over 50% of their matches! Random stats analysis for the day!
nikaso Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Had a good couple of rounds against alwayszerohour last night, shot each other in the head a few times in a good old fashioned sniper battle!
capncrunch Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Found this really frustrating. In the BETA I set 'Q' as the steady scope option whilst sniping and it was so simple for me. Can't set Q as this now though as apparently i've been told by a few people that you can't unbind the Spot/command options from Q. I feel your pain! I use Q for sprint and everytime i use it I get the spot commands. Rah!
