Con2prt Only Installing one of two printers Help!

The Easter Gremlins have struck! After working perfectly for two years Con2prt has started playing up.

In rooms with 2 printers when users Logon one printer installs but the other doesnt with the error message in the batch script Faild to connect to nt printer \\server\printer . It doesnt seem to be based on printer types.

If I log on as an Administrator both printers install then any other users that log on the machine can get the printers.

 

This one has me a bit baffled at the moment so any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like the drivers have dissapeared for one printer. You need to do a similar script but set it as a start up script so the drivers are installed with system permissions.

The Drivers are copied down as part of con2prt I believe.

Yes but if there is something wrong with the current driver and this script is running as a log on script (assuming the users do not have local admin) then they will not be able to load the drivers.

The fact that you can log on then they can log with printers leads me to this conclusion.

Just to let others know i have found the solution. A single file .dll in the \\servername\windows\system32\spool folder had the security permissions changed so that everyone group had been removed.
