Found this and it looked useful, had no heard of some of them.

Some of those look pretty handy, and worth a look when I have free time again - the network mapping ones would be nice, as would the performance analyser...

 

What amazes me these days is not just how much free software there is, but how much more useful it is than the commercial counterpart - e.g. VLC is the bestest media player ever, and will handle anythign you throw at it, 7Zip is quick, clean and integrates beautifully, unlike WinZip, etc...

Add Cacti, Nagios, Fog and Skeep to that list. All open source, all brilliant.

Not sure that it's open source but Format Factory would be on my list of must haves, deals with just about any media file conversion and has a nice easy to use interface.
