Hopefully this is a easy one for you lot.

When out computers got deployed the keyboard was set as Us so the @ and " are in the wrong place ect.

Is there a dummies way i can change this en masse via GP ?

Here's a copy of the adm file I use to set the keyboard to UK layout

Keyboard.txt

Change the file extension from .txt to .adm and then follow the step 1-11 instructions on the link Witch posted.

If you also need to change the regional and language settings from US time/currency you can do this using GPP

User - Preferences - Control Panel settings - Regional Options

Change the settings as you desire and then press f5 to enable the settings (You will see the red line change to green)

Here's a good little guide that another edugeek member (Arthur) gave me to look at.

I'm following the settings in these links, but I have a wierd error.

When i go into the control panel > ease of access settings > keyboard settings

it throws an error

Is that because this setting is applying correctly and thus preventing the user from changing it, or does it mean somethings wrong in the adm file:

CLASS USER

CATEGORY "Custom Settings"

CATEGORY "Keyboard Layout"

POLICY "Set UK Keyboard Layout"

KEYNAME "Keyboard Layout\Preload"

VALUENAME 1

VALUEON 00000809

VALUEOFF ""

END POLICY ;Set UK Keyboard Layout

END CATEGORY ;Keyboard Layout

END CATEGORY ;Custom Settings
