Set USB audio as default sound device

Our staff are having issues with sound not playing through the USB audio. I've installed ActivDriver 5.7.22.1 on to all our PCs, logged in as Admin and set the default device to the Promethean Audio. As soon as someone else logs in, it reverts back to the internal sound device. Any ideas on how I can force the default as the USB audio?

It's a per-user setting, so you would have to do it as that user. Are they restricted from changing the default audio device themselves?

If you disable the other audio hardware either physically through device manager or by using wmic ?

Just disable the onboard sound through the BIOS. This is the easiest option.

Won't the onboard sound card be required for when the staff do not have the IWB connected?

I found a script online for my son's Win 7 machine that switches the default audio between USB and internal...

I'll give it a try disabling the onboard sound card. We're running Windows Server 2003 with XP clients.
