Last Episode was great

 

The (very) spooky thing is that my wife and I had only just watched Vanilla Sky on Saturday - it had been on our PVR for months 8O

 

So - is he dead or back in coma or ....????

Yeah - I thought - oh no - they've killed off the series (tho' I wish some other programs would have the bottle and be so bold).

Life On Mars for me captures the essence of television. Has a variety of comedy and action, aswell as diverse acting from characters I have previously seen in other series. I think it attracts a range of audiences , the 70's look good from where I am standing. I now know what life was like before the technology we all rely on to live our lives. Would be a good experience to use no technology but gotta have my technology so dependant on it. Oh by the way life on mars is said to have a spinoff with the dci Gene Hunt dont know how true this is. To answer your question I think 1973 was the fake reality while he was in a coma sounds most logical.

He's dead, he was having a heart attack when he changed the radio station at the end. Plus the girl in the test card turned off the telly at the end too - thus turning off his life.

They had to leave it in 1973, otherwise the sequal Ashes to Ashes would be pointless.

In my opinion the ending was bollox.

It was a cack ending... anyway, who in their right mind would choose to stay in '73 when they'd spent the entire two series trying to get back to the modern day??

 

I was a bit disappointed, but like Mattx says, leaving it in 73 assists with the roll on to the 1980s with the next episode... although I've heard that it's a similar format, just a girl this time.
