andyrite Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 When deploying Windows 7 with a SCCM OSD task I query the model of the board and then install the drivers. I've got a few boards (ASUS) that come back with 'To Be Filled By O.E.M' Any ideas how I can get round this? Andy
Areku Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 sounds like the DMI of the board was never filled by your vendor. we used the app from How to change the DMI information on a Stone NT303 or NT307 Notebook - Stone Computers :: Knowledgebase this app is aimed at stone machines, but i have managed to use it on diffrent vendors. (though i really wouldnt recommend that unless you dont mind bricking the unit) im sure your motherboard vendor will have a simalar tool.
sparkeh Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Mmm this is Asus being lazy and not filling in the string. You really need to find the right tool to alter it :/

mrbios Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Even though it was a thread necro, simplest answer to this seeing as i've had to fix this before...download a program called FD44 editor and a copy of the bios software for your boards, import the bios file, edit the settings, flash the bios with your edited file. Makes life a lot easier for WMI filters if make and model are correct, just be aware that this will probably void any warranty (assuming it even gets noticed that you've done it)
