Got a guide which I'm following to set up MDT for our Windows 7 deployment, it mentioned there is a way to get it to boot into the WinPE using PXE rather than boot CD how is this possible?

Also if we do set this up how do we stop it booting into WinPE every PXE boot? (As obviously we don't need to boot into it every boot!)

Yep, ensure that PXE booting is enabled and is in the boot menu via your BIOS - most PCs have PXE enabled as soon as you enable Network Boot in the Boot Order menu, but some (Dell's mainly) have PXE as a seperate option (Why, I don't now as you cannot network boot without PXE!)

I usually have it first, with HDD being 2nd (dont boot from CD or USB here as the kids sussed this one!!)

It will then prompt you to press F12 to boot, and as long as there is a valid boot file in WDS (Create it in MDT then import it to WDS... Though your Guide should explain that part)

Don't worry about it always PXE booting, as it will time out (or if any other key is pressed) at the F12 prompt and try the next device..

All working now thanks :)

Having a robust imaging solution in place before the summer kicks off (Windows 7 helps!)? Maybe I'll actually be able to book some time off this summer for once! :o
