Ok, so I just used a wrong turn of phrase to the wife (yes this is safe for work you dirty minded techy types! lol ..)

 

Text her (she's after a file for a meeting she has tonight) to say "I'm trying to sort it, I'm just rebooting the web" meaning I'm just rebooting the router at our house from work ..

 

but just in case, if the web goes off, my bad .. lol ..

i dont see the issue, i always thought when you reboot a router it automatically reboots every internet connection in the world? is this not the case?

Whats weird is our net connection did go down about that time, but I think that was more down to some little oik plugging the network into itself than a router reboot!
