Quick Question, How are people running the StartMenu.ps1 ? Logon script, start up script? I've tried both and can't get it to work (either no access to the share, or no access to the programdata folder)

these days we run it as a hourly task via SCCM as the location for the shortcuts are accessible to the system account (and so is programdata), but we used to run it as a logon script

Thanks muchly. I quite literally got it working by making the share available to System. Was way over thinking it. Do like the SCCM idea tho! thanks

by running it via SCCM as an hourly task, it means if we deploy more applications out while the user is on the PC, there is a chance of the shortcut appearing without them logging off, and it also removes another step from the login so doesn't slow it down.
