OK, so we've all been there. Really busy, then all of a sudden some company makes a cold sales call. And then another. And another!

So, I'm hoping to start my IT blog really soon, and I thought it would be fun to have a game of 'cold call bingo' to launch it with. I'll produce some bingo cards with names of companies on, and you can print them off and cross off each supplier as they call you.

So, to get started, I need the names of some companies who have cold called you recently. By the way, I appreciate these people makes these calls for a living, but this is just a bit of lighthearted fun. Post away!

EDIT: Can we just have UK suppliers please, otherwise we'll never be able to finish the cards

You know my pet hate at the moment? You contact companies, ask for quotes, and then get pestered daily with follow up calls. It drives me round the bend! If I want further information or to place an order, I'll call you back, otherwise please don't ring daily. Now when I ask for quotes I make a list of the companies and if they start to ring daily they get removed from the list. Be interested to here how other people handle this?

Is my blog on the North Yorkshire moodle site public? I was actually going to find a public blog site, I do wonder if there are proffesionalism issues putting it on the North Yorkshire site?

I will however link to it in the North Yorkshire forums

It's going to be UK specific

Rather than company names, why not use different scenario's?

So instead put down things like:

1) Company claims to be from Microsoft but then continues by trying to sell shoddily made USB pens

2) Company claims to be your best mate to get past the call filtering, then tries to sell you toner

3) Dads on the phone for you, and he's got some great news, do you want to take it? Yeah, go on you say, but the great news is from a guy called Phat Max who is offering a whopping 99% off consumables.

And so on
