I have a Red – Continuous light on “Lamp” Will not turn on to clear lamp hour usage I have read the manual and it states, Press and hold the “Help” button on the remote for 10 seconds to reset the lamp hours. The only problem is…. I don’t have the remote? We seem to have lost it. So can it be don't without the Remote control?
wesleyw Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 This used to work on older version dont know about vt58 though up, right, down, left. I'll have a look around I think I have an old controller somewhere for the VT58.

You need the remote control. Please contact our servicepartner to get a new remote control. 08701-201160 [email protected]" Damn it!!! very helpful!

wesleyw Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 I'll have to look round this one has been in a drawer in the server room for months however we've had three NEC projectors blow up (after a long and very useful life, or over use in unsuitable environments ) so I'll have to look around for the other two if I can find them that is. Wes I know this thread has been dead for a while but I'm desperate to get my hands on a remote for the NEC vt460. In my absence a colleague has bought and installed a new bulb without realising that the remote has been missing for some time! Any help is much appreciated. I noticed you said that you had some spares you wouldn't mind parting with Wes? is that still the case?

We have bought a replacement like the ones sold on amazon and they are fine for switching the unit on/off but they don't have the 'help' button needed to reset the lamp hours in standby mode. Thanks for the response though!
