I dont want to ring up any agents for quotes as we dont want to buy till late next year so will just be a waste of there time . has any one this year already had quotes for buying licenses this year ? If so could you give me a general cost for buying these We require 4x 2008 Server Standard 64bit OS 250x - device cals 1x Exchange ( latest ) 64bit 250x Device cals . 250x Office 2010 If any one could give me the price they maybe paid this year or last to actually BUY the licences , would be great . I am trying to do a 5 year budget plan so its all guess work really. Just to be clear we want to BUY . No annual renewal . Edited May 23, 2011 by 2097
2097 Posted May 23, 2011 Author Posted May 23, 2011 Operating system licenses as well??? All newer machines have ' Windows 7 prof' All the older ones will be replaced with newer machines with 'Windows 7 ' Pre installed So hopefully no OS licenses required

I know you said no annual renewal but have you had a look at the new EES agreements? A lot of my clients have signed up to these as they are really cost effective as you only license per member of full time staff. Let me know if you need anymore info or pricing. Cheers
steve Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 If you are virtualizing the 4x 2008 Server Standard 64bit OS licenses on one host you could buy 1 copy of enterprise instead as it allows 1 host + 4 virtual
RTFM Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 As was mentioned, EES might be something that is worth a look at for you? If your buying that number of cals / licenses then EES might prove more cost effective? Certainly another option to look at for you
