Yes the A series were indeed lighter, but the new M series are as heavy as any ive fitted before. Ordered an A series but ended up having a M series delivered because of the A's un-availability. Biggest dissapointment was the now lack of a decent Zoom that the old A's had in abundance. Fitted it yesterday in a hall situation but could not get a decent zoom so now have to move the ceiling mount back. Which is not what i bargained for. Has a 3D input option? future proofing?

I'm surprised people are experiencing supply issues with the Casio A Range of projectors.

We had no supply issues with the A Range (XJ-A140) when we ordered 8 approx. 3 weeks ago.

If i remember correctly, the supplier advised us that there were over 200 units available at the distributors.

(I think there are only 2 UK distributors now dealing with Casio projectors).

That would be the A130 that people of late are suffering with. Some firms have stock in still as they stock-piled it, those who tend to buy to order were the ones who are unable to get. Certainly last time I looked the 2 Casio distributors were out of A130s.

Just about to buy some of these, should I buy the educational version?

Yes, because you'll then get the 10,000 hour/5 year warranty :)
