Mark182 Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Hi All, Just wondering if someone could offer me a little advise/help. I have had a look at the below posts but still need a little help. I am after an Online booking system to book out our classrooms. Is there any software that would import the school table from Sims? Thanks in advance for any help. • Online Theatre / Seat booking system + online payment By mb2k01 in forum Web Development (Replies: 8 - Last Post: 05-04-2011, 11:07 AM) • Setting up online booking system By Aaron in forum How do you do....it? Gibbo Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 I'm not sure about the SIMs importing but we've been using CRBS for about 3 years and are very happy with it Classroombookings
Speculator Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 We use MRBS, I too am intersted in a booking system I can import data into, but this time from Timetabler. I am investigating the possibility of importing data (say, from a CSV) into MRBS at the moment.
squeeky Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Tada, easy to modify, for example I changed ours to also include a laptop trolley booking system. Also has ADDS support ERBS | Download ERBS software for free at SourceForge.net Didnt see your bit about sims .... my bad. Ill leave this here for future reference tho
mb2k01 Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 (edited) Hi Mark, I see you've looked at one of my threads! The Theatre project mentioned in my thread was a specialist booking/ticketing project which doesn't have to be complete for about 6months. For general classroom / area booking we ended up going for a separate product - http://www.schoolbooking.com - very 'cheap' in comparison to the paid ones. We actually organised a long trial first and sought feedback from staff - all were very complimentary, so we opted to buy. This also does fill your sims export/import requirement too - you can upload all rooms/all staff if you wish! Hope that helps? Edited May 3, 2011 by mb2k01
notalot Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 I made use of a very nice Excel file for importing to MRBS (found on here but I can't see it atm) which handles a report froms sims, but we had to change it to handle a 2 week cycle, Ill happly add it and the report if its a help.
Speculator Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 Looks okay, pity it doesn't offer any directory integration. I don't want my users to have to remember yet another username/password combination. L8r. We uploaded staff using the same naming convention used for AD accounts and set a default password for staff to log in for the first time. I dare say that some of our staff decided to use the same password - although I have previously recommended using unique passwords for separate services to minimise security risks etc.
