mudcow007 Posted March 8, 2007 Author Posted March 8, 2007 could i delete this straight from regedit?
Geoff Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Where is the route coming from? Does it belong to an interface?
mudcow007 Posted March 8, 2007 Author Posted March 8, 2007 it doenst have interface details within' persistent route box it has a metric as 1 as does all the other routes? im stumped (it doesnt take much)
Geoff Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 OK, so does it belong to a virtual interface then? Perhaps a VPN connection or some sort of Virtualisation software?
mudcow007 Posted March 8, 2007 Author Posted March 8, 2007 it is used for a site to site vpn connection ahhh could it be its in use?
Geoff Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 If you've not removed the VPN settings from the machine, yes, it wont let you remove the route. However when you do remove the VPN settings the route should disappear along with that.
mudcow007 Posted March 8, 2007 Author Posted March 8, 2007 ahh there isnt any vpn software that sit on the server its the routers that deal with the vpn. its just routes to the other ip ranges on the servers am i making any sense?
NetworkGeezer Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 hello all i can't seem tot be able to delete a persistent route ive tried "route delete 192.168.51.0 mask 255.255.255.0 192.168.0.25" it seems to accept that it the opens another C: but if you then route print the swine is still in there?! ive also been downing the machine everytime i change something (to see if it makes a difference) any ideas anyone? I am confused about the syntax your using there. Normally you just have to define the target host/network without specifying a mask or gateway. Also is the route defined statically?
User3204 Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Can you post the output from "route print" ? I've found that I sometimes have to include the metric, although probably when I specified it when adding it. PS: The only metric of "1" I have is on the 127.0.0.0 and 255.255.255.255
mudcow007 Posted March 9, 2007 Author Posted March 9, 2007 hello guys i have been playing around today with other servers deleting and adding routes which all worked fine but, im still stuck with the server that wont let me delete/ remove a persistant route can i delete the route straight from the reg?
