Finding new CAD/CAM software

A collegue went to Bett and saw some amazing CAD/CAM stuff for D&T. I couldn't attend and she didn't write it down! Does anyone know what it might be and how I can contact this supplier?

There were some fantastic things there ... but they cover such a wide range a bit more info could help narrow things down.

 

3D printing? etching? Laser cutters?

In reality I would like to know about any CAD/CAM stuff that is looking to be of interest. I'm trying to set up a leading edge D&T dept but other than " a better boxford" I'm a bit lost. My expertise lies elsewhere (now where did I put that expertise??...hmmm)

I'd second that. We use 2D Design and a couple of their machines too and although ours are a bit dated now, they do a wonderful job still. I love watching them cut stuff out, doesn't half fascinate me and wathing the laser machine do it's business is fantastic too but I don't think that's a Techsoft machine.

We use 3D CAD Design Software SolidWorks & CAMWorks: CNC CAD/CAM Software within SolidWorks combo here. We also have some Boxford stuff.

NX CAD is what I-DEAS became and that was a good solid modeller as well as doing finite element analysis. AliasStudio is good surface modeller it will do spline curves. They worked great at University.

Solidworks and 2D Design are used extensively here. Both are very impressive.
