LeMarchand Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Have been trying out QIMO a kid-friendly Ubuntu variant in some of my schools. Managed to get Flash content working, but videos on the BBC site just won't play (YouTube is fine). Tried to install Chrome instead, but got a proxy error (though the Firefox proxy settings were correct). Tried the Flash-Aid add-in for FF, which didn't seem to help either. Anyone else had this problem and solved it?
Steve21 Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Although it's not Qimo, I found on basic ubuntu having multiple flash players installed often broke things. So might be worth removing them all, and just installing flash player etc Steve 1
LeMarchand Posted April 1, 2011 Author Posted April 1, 2011 I did find that suggested (and I think FlashAid is supposed to do that) and investigated, but it looked to my (inexperienced in Ubuntu) eyes as if there was only one player. I'll try to double-check next week.
