featured_spectre Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 POW!! got what he deserved tbh. I hate bullies and this makes me smile when they get their come uppence!
CESIL Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 But how do you know who is the bully and who is the victim standing up to the bully? You are assuming that the big guy is the victim...
featured_spectre Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 he got started on by the other guy...admittedly you could be right, however its usually the bigger guys that get picked on.
RabbieBurns Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 heres a proper news article about what I think is the same story? Bullying Video: Boy Injures Student's Ankle | Chifley College
mattx Posted March 15, 2011 Author Posted March 15, 2011 In my personal opinion you have every right to defend yourself and I will always stand by that. I have the same opinion if someone speaks to me in a rude or arrogant manner. Bloody do-gooders !!
MK-2 Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Saw that last night, and if the story is true that the big kid was the one being bullied, good on him. reminded me of Max from Streets of Rage 2.... http://media.giantbomb.com/uploads/3/35297/1312852-maxslam_super.jpg
Guest Guest Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 he got started on by the other guy...admittedly you could be right, however its usually the bigger guys that get picked on. Very true. My brother is of similar build to that guy but taller. By age 12 he was over 6 foot. He used to get picked on all the time but as per usual because he "stood out" he was the one who always got the blame for it as he "should know better" - so basically the teachers were saying "you should accept being hit because it doesn't physically hurt you" Good on the lad. I had a little shat who always used to pick on me. Now I wasnt massive but I was big enough to play rugby, certainly big enough to stand up to a 5 foot midget. Eventually after years of taking it off the little person I turned round and gave him a very good hiding (iirc he spent 2 weeks off school recovering), and guess what - he never picked on me again! IMHO there isn't enough "standing up for yourself" any more. Kids are told to take it and allow the teacher to deal with it, which IMO rarely solves anything, at most it just moves the bullying from the school playground to after school - where there is no one to break it up if it goes too far.
localzuk Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 I was the big guy when I was in school, and a tiny little twerp would bully me. It ended when I smacked the little git in the face in assembly once. A hall full of 600 kids, and all sorts of staff and no-one saw a thing... The kid ended up trying to get revenge later, but got himself excluded. Why is it always the tiny ones that act up?
